I didn't feel like it was a sub-par episode. I rather liked it. It got me all excited about X Files again. Not sure, though, if it was just because I was seeing the characters on the screen or not. I was never an X Files fanatic, so it won't be like the Star Trek movie to me. I enjoyed this movie, though, and appreciated how, like a number of X Files episodes I remember, it wanted you to think.
